Three Day Getaway

Ahhh, the sun, the sand, the ocean waves, so relaxing.

We are back from our three day getaway to Virginia Beach. It is always nice to get away even if it is only for a few days. You can go on vacation for little cost if you plan it right and do some searching. There are so many things to do at Virginia Beach. Dolphin watching boat trips, parasailing, fishing, crabbing, jet ski rentals, and miles of board walk for that evening stroll.

We stayed at the Ramada Limited which is on Atlantic Ave., not ocean front but across the street. A big savings. Check out priceline.com for some great hotel prices.
If you are planning a trip to Virginia Beach stop by many of the coupon boxes and grab some great deals. These boxes are all over the place at the beach. You'll find coupons on pizza, shopping, dinning out, amusement parks and many other great deals.

Our first day there we just hung out at the beach and enjoyed a few shops. Our second day we headed to the Virginia Aquarium. Definitely worth checking it out. They also have an imax theater that we didn't get to see, but there's always next time. Vacation Market has discount tickets to the aquarium. They have locations on Atlantic Ave at 16th, 25th and 31st streets. The sting rays were one of our favorites. I also liked the reptiles and the sea otters. The otters were so cute basking in the sun.
We ate at the Jewish Mother for dinner, a little pricey, but we had a 20% off coupon from our books we picked up. Check out this enormous sandwich. For lunch, it was sandwiches on the beach. Packing your own lunches can save you a lot. And if your hotel has continental breakfast, even more savings.
That is one big sandwich!!

It was nice to get away for a few days, but now back to reality and work. I hope you are able to take some time off and enjoy the summer.
